The prehistoric caves of Sare, « Lezea »
Third most visited site in Basque Country, the caves of Sare provide a guided tour with a system of sound and lights, and a free access to the museum and to the megalithic park.

All along the tour, three main subjects will be mentioned: the unusual geology of a rather dry cave, a prehistoric

habitation and the origins and mythology of the Basque people according to the anthropologist José-Miguel de

Barandiaran.

You will have free access to our museum to discover Human evolution from prehistory to the present day and to the

megalithic park explaining what megalithism in the Basque Country is.
